YANEY

Yili Tang is a visual artist and product designer currently studying at the Glasgow School of Art, where she also serves as the President of the Chinese Students and Scholars Association. Trained from a young age under renowned painters, she has a solid foundation in drawing—particularly in sketching—and a keen sense of aesthetics. Her practice spans painting, mixed media, and technology-integrated experimental visual work, and she has participated in multiple exhibitions and curatorial projects.
In her artistic practice, Yili Tang actively participates in various forms of exhibitions and curates exhibitions for artists from different backgrounds and artistic styles, covering fields such as painting, photography, installation, and new media. Through these collaborations, she has gained deep experience communicating with artists of many different types, which has broadened her understanding of artistic expression and creative perspectives.
Her own work emphasizes emotional resonance and cultural energy, drawing inspiration from music, personal experiences, and contemporary life. Her cross-media explorations allow her to approach art with openness, imagination, and freedom.
In her interactions with children, Yili hopes to share this open and diverse artistic perspective, allowing young learners to enjoy the process of creating while developing imagination, aesthetic awareness, and the confidence to express themselves. She believes that art is a gentle and free journey of growth, where every child can discover their own unique colors.
